CephaloPanic
CepahloPanic is a 2D Roguelite shooter Roguelite with RPG elements I made over the course of 17 weeks along from scratch. The game contains a combat system with a variety of cephalopod characters, all with unique attacks and abilities, which apply different aspects to enemies. When multiple aspects are applied they cause a coalescence, which produces unique effects based on the order and type of aspect applied. The game also contains a gear system with randomly generated gear stats and stat rolling, randomly generated levels created using a combination of binary space partitioning for the levels and cellular automata for the individual rooms. Progress when the game is closed, allowing for continued grinding for gear and character levels. The art assets were also all created by me.
The game was planned to have additional characters, NPCs, quests to unlock more playable characters and more story with a campaign, but the plan was a little too ambitious and overwhelming and in the end, the game was less polished and complete than I had hoped, but I still intend to continue working on this game in my free time in the future to be closer to the vision I had for it at the start.
